40 cm/45 (16.1") Type 90 (?)
Updated 23 June 2012
These guns were designated as "40 cm" (15.75") but their actual bore was 41 cm (16.1").  This was an experimental weapon considered for use on early designs for what became the Yamato class battleships.  Calculations showed that it had only about half the armor penetration capability of the 46 cm (18.1") Type 94 and for that reason development was not pursued.

Type 90 (1930) is my estimate.
