A line of Danton Class battleships puts to sea. Two of the Dantons with, in front of them, two destroyers, possibly Claymore Class. The destroyer Flamberge passes left to right, followed by the destroyer Bombe which fires its 3-pounder as it passes. A Voltigeur Class destroyer passes.

A view of the stern of the Danton Class battleship Jauréguiberry with guns turned to starboard. A whaler is lowered from amidships on the camera-ship and rows off.

Three battleships in echelonned line astern, from nearest the camera Bouvet, Jauréguiberry and then possibly the Suffren. Battleships ahead of the camera-ship's bow wave in rough weather. Charlemagne Class battleships plough through the rough seas. A Charlemagne Class, possibly Saint Louis with all turrets trained out to sea, and Jauréguiberry behind her. "Mosquito craft", Claymore Class destroyers in line abreast with a Charlemagne Class battleship in the distance; Sabretache is close to the camera as it builds up speed, with République and Patrie behind her. An Arbalète Class destroyer, or possibly the Arc, rolling heavily in the rough sea. The destroyer Fanfare, also rolling, with Sape beyond her. The camera-ship, a battleship (possibly Danton Class) drops anchor.

"In Action", a destroyer, the camera-ship, fires a 4-inch gun on the port beam. A Danton Class fires a 65mm gun, then twin 9.4-inch guns in a turret. Bows-on shot of a Danton Class with six beam turrets trained on the beam and waves breaking over the bows. Waves break over the camera-ship's bows, with more Danton Class battleships astern, including the Jauréguiberry. A Charlemagne Class battleship running in a heavy sea, showing clearly the bulbous bow. A final shot of Jauréguiberry bows on.
