说明:
German film of the amphibious landing at Pamerort on the island of Oesel in the Baltic, 9th-12th October 1917.
At Windau on 9th and 10th October the transport ships for 42nd Division and other elements of XXIII Reserve Corps are loaded with men, equipment and guns. On the morning of 10th October the camera-ship, probably the transport Coburg carrying 2nd Cyclist Battalion and 8th Field Artillery Battery, is loaded, and steams out of harbour past the light cruisers SMS Kolberg and SMS Koenigsberg. Another camera, probably on board SMS Koenig, watches the other ships of 3rd Battle Squadron as they steam to within range of Oesel and open fire: the Grosser Kurfürst is shown first, then probably the Markgraf. A seaplane overflies the camera-ship, followed by a military Zeppelin, either LZ113 or LZ120. The battleships Bayern and (probably) Grosser Kurfürst start the bombardment. Sailors on the camera-ship load one of the guns (view inside turret). Then back to the Coburg for the landing at Pamerort: the ship's boats are lowered over the side, and, filled with bicycles and men, set off for the shore. The horses are off-loaded from the transports and taken by barge to the shore. A signaller stands on top of a thatched cottage to semaphore. As the beach-head is established horses and supplies begin to collect and the men line up to be inspected by a senior officer.
P.S. 开火后的炮烟真是巨大无比。
