融合了费舍尔同期“超级虎”、“无比”、“斯巴达舰”的设计元素，力求在虎号的船体规格和近似造价之下，实现3SL Moore的“最贵的也必须是最强的”设计目的。

史实所谓Sans Pareil或者说Nonpareil好像是在1908年提的，燃油+小管锅炉，也是个比较值得期待的设计，没准能在狮级的基础上把防护强化到13.5吋超无畏的水准
